A lot of my books revolve around family. Whether it’s family by blood, or family by choice, there always seems to end up being a lot of people around!
One of the conversations that always comes up when I chat with friends and my family about big families is what happens at dinner time. It’s very fun to compare the traditions that develop to deal with many hungry bodies at the table.
The families in my Six Pack ranch books, and Heart Falls, do many of these things. Like holding hands at the dinner table during a prayer of thanks at the start of the meal— When there are six boys at the table, it’s not about shared family connection. It’s the easiest way to be sure no one is helping themselves to the buns when everyone’s eyes are closed! (You know it’s true!)
Another tradition, though, is that family sticks together. There’re always a few bumps in the road on this one, but in the end, they will be there for each other. Because that’s what family does.
Dive into the Six Pack ranch and enjoy the growing traditions of this ranching family.
