Rocky Mountain Heat is completed! Throwing confetti and cowboy boots in the air.
I'm real happy with this one. The story has been a lot of fun but I'm the most proud because it's my first ‘real' story ever. RMH is the fifth story I've completed but the first four have all been fantasy or paranormal.
It's nice to know I can write in a real world setting.
I had to do a complete re-write on chapter eight. The first version was heading off into very emotional and very powerful territory but there was no way I'd be done in 10K. So I've now learned another skill. The ‘how to add 25K to your work'.
I now have another option if I don't get selected for the anthology. I could always go back and use the first emotional version and then add enough to get the story to full length novel. Options are good things.
But for now I'll just enjoy the feeling of having another notch on my writer's belt.
And move back to my wolves who have been so kind to stay quiet but are now clamouring for a chance to share the mischief they want to make.
