My publisher, Samhain, for the first time has gone into the files and out to the people to ask for the top picks for 2008 in books and covers.

For this first year they will be also awarding for the best of the previous two years, since SP came into being in 2006.

I won't be a part of these awards since I'm going to be a 2009 release but I've entered my votes for the best of the past year and it will be interesting to see if my choices shown up.

My favorite book from Samhain in 2008?
Erotic Research by Mari Carr. Hands down favorite.

Favorite Cover?
A lot tougher to pick. I finally choose Fated, story by Lauren Dane, cover by Dawn Seewer.I think I can tell why it catches my eye. It's blue… has wolves…

Favorite Book from previous years? Without Reservations by JL Langley.

I'm looking forward to the awards and seeing what happens.
