I’d always wanted to write a holiday series. Some of that was because I adore the holiday books that Shannon Stacy and Jaci Burton put out every year. Hallmark holiday movies becoming a thing only made my love stronger. And then there are all the holiday stories from years gone by…
Each of the books in the Holidays in Heart Falls series ended up being loosely based on some tradition or story. Here’s how it plays out—
A FIREFIGHTER’S CHRISTMAS GIFT is the simplest. Gift giving of the most meaningful type (there are books involved!) and mistletoe! Lots and lots of mistletoe. Next, in A SOLDIER’S CHRISTMAS WISH, the heroine and hero consider old-fashioned traditions and what it truly means to have holiday spirit. A HERO’S CHRISTMAS HOPE is my ode to the Nutcracker ballet and ugly holiday sweaters. It was so much fun to break a few more traditions in the best possible way. Book 4, A COWBOY’S CHRISTMAS LIST, has the mother of all advent calendars as the wooing method of choice for one focused cowboy. It’s also a story for those who don’t have the best of past holiday memories, with the hope that we can always build a new path. And finally in A RANCHER’S CHRISTMAS KISS, we take a very Heart Falls trip through the story of the A Christmas Carole. Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future all play a part in a long awaited happily-ever-after.
There’s still time to visit Heart Falls this holiday season for some stories that I hope make you smile.
