Oops, I did it again.
I’ve said before it’s hard to let go of the people I consider friends, so it’s time to dive in and have some fun. Which means there’s another collection of short stories and vignettes to fill in some gaps and add to the Heart Falls world.
If you’ve been a newsletter reader for a while, you might have seen a few of these already, but this collection means you can have all of the stories in one easy to find spot on your ereader. Plus, I’ve also included three brand new stories that I can’t wait for you to read.
For example, a long time ago I mentioned that I’d like to write Ginny and Tucker’s origin story. What happened, and when, was alluded to in A Rancher’s Love, (and in Rocky Mountain Home!) but in this collection you’ll get to read The Start of Us. When the immovable will that was twenty-year-old Ginny finally got through to Tucker.
There’s a sweet happily-ever-after start for a couple of new characters we’ve met recently in High Water ranch. Edison is too darling to leave without the promise of what Kevin can bring into his world, and vice versa.
And there’s more!
The collection is titled Hot Night in Heart Falls because this time, all of the stories do have some spice to them. Keep that in mind when you’re reading. Not because these are hotter than a typical Heart Falls title, but the earlier vignettes tended to be a sex free zone.
I think I lost the memo on this collection. You’re welcome. 😉
Here's what's coming:
1. An up-to-date reading list for Heart Falls to the end of the current saga (which means after A Cowboy's Claim) AND an up-to-date family tree/character list, with which books they star in.
2. The Vignettes
A Night of Contrasts
(You might have read this one for Christmas in 2022)
Featuring all the Stone families.
A cold wind is blowing through Heart Falls. In some cases, it’s not even noticed as things heat up, in more ways than one. But not everyone has found what they need to be warm through and through. Not yet.
Seize the Moment
(You might have read this in the summer before A COWBOY’S Bride came out.
Happens during THE COWGIRL'S CHOSEN LOVE. Mentioned during Sharing Secrets in the Girls Night Out collection.
The one night stand when Petra and Aiden met long before they both moved to Heart Falls.
Wedding in a Box
(You might have read this one for Christmas in 2024)
Petra and Aiden have gotten married, and they’ve come up with a special way to commemorate the day, and we get to visit with some Heart Falls favourites as they follow some special instructions (and share some important moments with us!)
Ugly Sweater Redux (new)
(You’ll get a snippet from this one for Christmas this year!)
It’s time for the annual firefighter’s Christmas party, and this year the ugly sweater contest is front and center in everyone’s minds.
Well, maybe not the only thing on their minds….
This one features ALL the firehall crew: Brad & Hanna Ford and family, Mack & Brooke and family, Ashton & Sonora Stewart, Yvette Wright & Alex Thorne, Ryan & Madison (Maddy) Zhao and family.
3. PLUS two brand-new short stories.
The Start of Us (Ginny & Tucker)
Every February, Tucker returns to Heart Falls to honour the saddest day with his friends. They’ve shared good memories, and painful ones. This year, Tucker has done his damnedest to not notice that his best friend’s little sister is definitely all grown up. Not the place. Not the time.
Except Ginny thinks it’s definitely time, and the place, and there’s not much use in arguing with a Stone.
Gifts of the Heart (Edison & Kevin)
After dating for over six months, Kevin is looking for more than casual fun and flirting with Edison. Only his colourful butterfly of a boyfriend is commitment phobic, and Kevin isn’t about to hurt the most tender-hearted, sweetest, and sexiest man he’s ever met by pushing boundaries.
Which puts holiday gift giving squarely in Edison’s corner. Can Edison push past his fears and find a very Kevin and Edison approved way to admit he’s ready for more?

I hope you’re as excited as I am to revisit with friends and enjoy some good old-fashioned happiness.
