Kyle kissed her, his mouth firm against hers but delicate as he nibbled on her lips, stroked his tongue over her, hummed his approval as she kissed back.
“Damn, Susan, I just…” He dropped his head on her shoulder and dragged a big breathe of air into his lungs, his body shaking as he held them together.
The elevator door began to open, there was a loud ‘ding’ and the doors snapped shut.
“Not again.” a voice from the other side of the door could be heard complaining and Kyle pulled Susan to a standing position, helping to smooth her hair and tidy her clothes. Every touch of his hands even on the surface of her skin set off another reaction, her undies wet with moisture, her fingers itching to bury themselves in his hair and drag him back into her arms. Something was totally fucked up.
“Kyle, we need to leave. There’s something wrong with me and—”
He placed a finger over her lips and nodded, pressing a button for a different floor. “I got it sweetie, you’re right. I was taking you to the common room but for some reason that’s not going to work. Give me second.” He pulled the phone from the elevator wall and punched in a few numbers. Moments later the elevator stopped.
“Jay, it’s Kyle. Susan Clary and I are outside your door and need to talk privately. Can you let us in and meet us in a few?”
The door slid open and Kyle hung up the phone.
Susan walked into an open space with large windows lining the entire wall of the condo, more like an office building than a private suite. Small couch/chair gatherings were arranged in the area with a large kitchen and island to the right. Four doors led off the main open area.
A sense of peace descended and Susan could finally breath again.
“Better?”
“Damn empath. You probably know when I need to fart, don’t you?”
Kyle laughed. “Yeah, but I’m far too polite to say anything. This is Jay’s suite and he’s got some mystic mumbo jumbo going on that makes it easy for new talents to be here without you lighting things on fire or being overwhelmed by sexual heat.”
Susan rubbed her temples. “Gad, I forgot you told me about that. Sorry for crawling all over you in the elevator.”
Kyle kissed her cheek, his eyes twinkling. “Trust me, sweetie, you’ve got nothing to apologize for. I was not an unwilling victim by any stretch of the imagination. I just don’t understand so many things as far as you are concerned, though, so I’m hoping Jay will help.”
He led her to the kitchen area and got her a glass of water. She eyed the fridge with longing and he poked her. “You’re in a growing spurt right now. You’re hungry again, right?”
Her stomach growled in answer.
“Jay won’t mind. Come on, what looks good?” Kyle opened the fridge and pulled out a few things. When he bent over to pull apples from the fruit drawer Susan’s mouth went dry.
He looked good. Hell, she was hot for him. The sight of his ass as he leaned down drove a spike of lust through her that made her close her eyes and stagger back to stop from reaching out and touching him, cupping between his legs and—
“Shit, woman, you need to eat and we need to find Jay.” Kyle pushed her onto a stool and forced an apple into her palm, retreating quickly to make her a sandwich with the other food he’d found.
Susan bit into the apple and sensations burst over her taste buds. Mouthwatering sweet, juicy and more delicious than anything she’d ever tasted.
Except Kyle’s kiss.
