The Wolfie World Tour continues today at The Book Pushers with answers to the ultimate question: What IS a wolfie?
Zoe Archer is one of those people you can't help but love and admire. She writes cool stories–books that are slightly different from the way everyone else does it, and they are SO GOOD. She's also smart–somehow she planned it so our names would be alphabetically really close, so we get to sit next to each other at book signings, which is an incredible thrill for me. If you haven't checked out her books yet, you can start with the Blades of the Rose (all four books are available) but she's here to introduce her new Hellraisers series that begins this December.
Zoe:
I love writing historical paranormal romance because it allows me to take all the rich and lush elements of the past and combine it with fun, sexy magic. With my new HELLRAISERS series, I get to play even more. In my BLADES OF THE ROSE series, I was able to take tales of high adventure in far-away places and add a zesty dash of hot romance. Now, with the Hellraisers, I get to write some seriously bad boys. Let's face it, the Blades might be gruff warriors, exuberant scoundrels, iron-willed and scientific geniuses, but they're all, at heart, good guys.
Not the Hellraisers. These 18th century rakes really earn their name—they stop at nothing in the pursuit of pleasure. And when these bad boys inadvertently free the Devil from his prison, they're more than happy to reap the benefits, including gaining the power to grant their every desire. It's been so much fun exploring my dark side as I write the Hellraiser series! Magic and bad boys in thigh-high boots. Now that's a winning combination.
DEVIL'S KISS: Book one, Hellraisers
A HANDSOME DEVIL
1762. James Sherbourne, Earl of Whitney, is a gambling man. Not for the money. But for the thrill, the danger—and the company: Whit has become one of the infamous Hellraisers, losing himself in the chase for adventure and pleasure with his four closest friends.
Which is how Whit finds himself in a gypsy encampment, betting against a lovely Romani girl. Zora Grey’s smoky voice and sharp tongue entrance Whit nearly as much as her clever hands—watching them handle cards inspires thoughts of another kind…
Zora can’t explain her attraction to the careless blue-eyed Whit. She also can’t stop him and his Hellraisers from a fiendish curse: the power to grant their own hearts’ desires, to chase their pleasures from the merely debauched to the truly diabolical. And if Zora can’t save Whit, she still has to escape him…
Welcome to the ultimate bad boys. A group of 18th Century rakes who will stop at nothing in their pursuit of pleasure—even if it costs them their souls. Dark, sexy and beguiling, the Hellraisers will seduce you. Sinning never tasted so sweet.

I loved the excerpt here. This is one of my favorite genres to read next to Highlanders .
Maybe a Cowboy/shifter ? I don’t know because I’ve read so many different mixes. 🙂 I’ll go with the 1800’s Cowboy/shifter thingie. 🙂

Zoe Archer is a new author to me. This series sounds really interesting. I loved the excerpt here. I’m not sure about the mix-ups of genres. To me the mix-ups can be any genre. I will read anything, I’m not that picky when it comes to reading. I can’t think of anything right now. I was thinking about a Thriller mix with something.

Historical Zombie Apocalypse!
I’d love to read about some zombie mayhem at a debutante ball in Regency England or about Zombie Highlanders.
SciFi & Zombies would also be cool.
Well…. anything with lots of zombie mayhem is cool.
Oh, Sullivan McPig , that sounds like a good one. Historical Zombie Apocalypse! I love it! How about a steampunk-paranormal combo?
i like the cowboy/shifter combo!
I do like the cowboy/shifter or maybe even making a steampunk/shifter combo might be cool.
i’m not sure about mix up…they can be everything, but at the moment i love maya and aztec ^^ so anything with that in the mix
I could go for Highlanders vs. Zombies. Yeah that would be cool. Killing the undead with a Scottish accent and a big ass sword. Could it get any cooler?
I’d love to see more yaoi mixed in with sci-fi and fantasy 🙂 Thanks for the giveaway!

First I have to agree with Viv about the name thing…that’s how I was introduced to Zoe ( such a lovely Z name btw). I went to the literacy signing at RWA in NY City and got to meet my friend Viv in person finally and she introduced me to her neighbor…da da da dunnnn..Zoe Archer. I had seen Zoe’s books here and there on blogs but hadn’t picked any up. I decided to get one at RWA but got two instead( Scoundrel and Rebel) signed of course and have picked up another -Stranger, now I need the first Warrior.
Now on to the question, how about a time traveling Highlander that can shapeshift into a wolf????? Can I be his Heroine????

I like the idea of a cowboy/shifter, that would be a cool story.
Oh cowboy shifter gets my vote! 😀
Devil’s Kiss sounds great. I would love to read this book. 🙂
Hmmm. Tough question. I love the cowboy/shifter suggestion. 😀 Let’s see steampunk/shifter has been done by Moira Rogers so that’s out. Nope, this un-creative brain can’t figure it out. I’ll just have to settle for reading the 300+ books on my TBR list. Sigh, bliss!
I like all kinds of mix-ups–historical and paranormal do seem to work especially well together. And I like steampunk, which is already kind of a mix-up all unto itself!
I like Western/Paranormal. I really liked Sarah McCarty’s Shadow Wranglers.

Ohhhh! Historical Paranormal! That’s awesome! I would like to see more of that! 🙂
Like a few others here I do love the cowboys, and the shifters stories. So many different avenues still to be created and explored could be endless. I have no doubt so many of you great authors will find your muse to write so many more stories. I can’t wait to discover them all as they come to the light of day…*S*
thank you!

I like the mix-up you’ve come up with for sure. An additional option is futuristic-paranormal which is enjoyable.
Quite the dark side, sounds delicious! A great mix with this series, little demonic with historical. Love it.
Thanks for the chance to win one of these books!

Hellraisers sounds like a great series!
I think the idea of a shifter/steampunk menage sounds delicious.
I like paranormal romantic suspense. Jayne Ann Krentz writes in this genre and it was her books that made me like that mix up. I also love contemporary romantic suspense.
angeldream3[AT]gmail[DOT]com
I like historical and paranormal together. Gentlemen, ladies and mythology or witchery sounds so appealing.
I would like to read a great time travel shifter.
Everyone here has great ideas, I personally like historical paranormal and paranormal romantic suspense, but I also think historical romantic suspense would be a good mix-up of genres as well though I haven’t read many.

I would love to see a Steampunk Scifi mixture. Trying to imagine Steam driven space ships 😀
Great excerpt, love the mix of the genres. I like pretty much any mix, if there’s romance in it, I will read it. You are on my list of TBR, got your Blades books, will get to them sometime soon I hope 🙂
Sounds great, I love all romance books, but I really love historicals and paranormal. So putting the 2 together… My kind of books! =D

Id like to see a Scottish Highlander shifter hero (prefereably a wolf ) from around 1745 and a heroine who time travels back into the past and not only has to deal with the time travel but the fact that shifter witches vamps and other creatures of lore realy are real.
flanagan@mebtel.net
I have read many stories about paranormal (generally vamps or shifters) that are set in the past. I have also rad some of books involving time travel or other magical elements that are at least partially in the past. This series sounds really good. I had not heard of them before this posting but will be checing into them. Thank you so much for introducing me to a new-to-me series and writer.
