The Wolfie World Tour continues today at My Disorganized Ramblings. I've got a couple of favorite songs to share.
Meljean Brook is one very cool lady. She looks great in a wondergirl outfit, she has this addictive laugh, but outside appearances aside, she's one of the most creative and interesting people I've met in the past year. She takes writing to a new level and I love her work.
She's got a couple different series, like the popular GUARDIANS, but the current craze is the Iron Seas world, that began in the IRON DUKE and will continue in Book Two, HEART OF STEEL. Plus, she's got some lovely novellas set in the same world to give us tidbits of goodness in the wait between releases.
I asked Meljean what she liked about writing these books and this is what she shared:
Invention is at the heart of steampunk, and I absolutely love how that doesn't just apply to the gadgets and technology, but the world itself. After I've established the basic rules and history, there's simply nothing that limits me — I can have any type of hero or heroine, I can take them anywhere in the world, I can pit them against any sort of obstacle. It's so incredibly fun — I wouldn't trade it for anything.
Containing Meljean's: THE BLUSHING BOUNDER
A Tale of the Iron Seas – While the search for a killer puts Constable Newberry’s life in danger, he faces a danger of another kind: to his heart, by the woman forced to marry him. What will it take for this prudish bounder to convince his wife to stay? (13K words)

I’m sorry but in my long and unexciting life I have never been anywhere steamy!
Where I live… MD! Our summers are humid, humid, humid….(that’s about as close to steamy I’ve ever been!)
I love Meljean Brook’s books she is a fabulous author and is so nice when I met her at AAD this year. I would love to win this one.
Well, I live on the coast of northern Nova Scotia, so just about anywhere seems steamy to me, lol. I guess I’d have to say Florida, although it is a very nice steamy 😉
I am not sure if I would call it *steamy* but Turkey in August is hot hot. ( The temps were 35 C-40 C. In the shadow.)
It’s not exactly steamy, but dreadfully humid in New York. The worst is riding the crowded subway during these times.

Only steamy place have been is Florida, though this summer seemed pretty humid in Ohio.
My family once went to a hot springs where there were specks of gold (used to be a place mined for gold). It was very cool…err steamy!
For me it was a business trip to Columbus, GA. Never saw the sun, it was overcast the entire 3 days I was there in the middle of July 2000, but it sure was humid! Bleck, I’ll take my lovely Northern California weather any day of the week. 😀
Since I live in the Midwest I could say my backyard during the middle of summer would be the steamiest. However, I’ll go with the rainforest exhibit at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo instead.
The steamiest place I’ve ever been is my home after Katrina, when the electricity was off for two weeks. South MS in summer is very steamy.
Well when the humidity is up high here in the summer, it can feel like a sauna…
Our shower room with hubby 😉
Or in the more literal sense Hong Kong in Monsoon season *Phew!!*
Thailand! But there are a great many steamy places I’ve yet to visit. I’ve been really enjoying Ms. Brooks’ Iron Seas world–can’t wait to see where she takes us next!
This summer I would have to say PA where I live. Holy cow it was hot and humid this summer.
The hottest, steamiest place is in Iowa. It can get 100+ degrees w/ almost 100% humidity so its like 120+… way hot and steamy 🙂

The steamiest place I’ve been (unfortunately it was not sexy) was in Houston one summer. It was 99 degrees and 100% humidity as it rained for about 20 minutes. After the rain, the ground was steaming!!! LOL
Thanks for the chance to win. I do like Meljean Brook’s books.

I would say the steamiest place I’ve been was a sauna.
Savannah, Georgia was one of the steamiest places I’ve been to-unless you count the rainforest display at the fantastic Climatron here in Shaw’s Garden-now that place is really steamy, too.
Florida was pretty hot and humid when we went a few summers ago. Southern China is also very hot for many months.

I have never been anywhere steamy 🙁
The steamiest place ive eve been is probably the place I’m currently visiting – the island of Hawaii. Kilauea volcano has been comtinually erupting here since 1983 I believe. Those lava flows are pretty steamy.

I’ve been in a could of saunas.
The Bahama’s. My DH won a 3 day cruise, and it was so humid in April my hair was wet for the whole 3 days. It made me want to chop of my long hair so bad….lol.
A local woman on the docks loved my DH’s beard as we disembarked from the ship and caught us again gong back . She called him Santa Claus, and wanted to bead my hair. If we had more time I would have let because beaded hair is cool.
Thank you for the contest !
