What's Up?

It's the middle of the week and I'm looking at a to-do list that has such a variety of items on it, I'm not sure where to start.

And that's perhaps one of the blessings and curses of being a beginner writer. Not only do I get to write, I get to plan promo, do edits, research, chat with readers and writers, write synopsis, critique work for my writer friends, deal with pirates (grrrr), revise work, go through galleys, blog, tidy up the website, do more promo, order goodies for conferences…

Something's got to give. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the fact that I have to think about this. I really, really prefer it to sitting and staring at a submission pile and waiting for a response. I'm just having to plan out what's the best use of my time, because that list up above? Doesn't include my secret identity tasks of mother, wife and homeschool mentor (my kids are old enough that's about what it comes down to nowadays).

I love having this spot to share with you, but for the next while I'm going to be making less entries, and doing more work on other things. The cool thing I already have the awesome Snippet Saturday to participate in, so that's a good thing that will continue.

I'll still drop in to tell you what's up. New covers (there will be a few in the next while), wip, other things that you should be aware of. Sometimes eye candy, sometimes guests. And of course if there are new releases, you can bet on them dropping in anytime. Just don't expect a daily post. It's just not possible right now.

NOW FOR THE EXCITEMENT!!

Three things to look forward to:

1. Lexxie Couper and I will be celebrating together our February 10th releases from Ellora's Cave. We'll have a few surprises in the days leading up to the event. Look for Fire Up the Night starting next week.

2. The Olympics are coming to Canada. To British Columbia, my home province, and I've got to get in on the excitement. I'll have a couple of cool giveaways planned for the time, Feb 12-28. Only appropriate since in my second wolfie book, Wolf Flight, the bad guys are located in Whistler, BC. Too funny, eh?

3. ANNIVERSARY BASH!
March 24 is the one year anniversary of my first publication. March 23, 2009 is also when International Heat set up. I'm planning a few events with the girls of IH, and a few things on my own. There will be a wolfie party as well considering that Wolf Games releases March 23rd. Giveaways, ARC's, lots of fun.
