Time beckons onward

Only a day away from the release of my first story and, yes, I'm very excited.

But even as I have the thrill of waiting one more day there's been many other wonderful things happening and I want to enjoy them all.

1. Had a fabulous ski getaway with the family into the back country. 4 hour ski in, 2 1/2 hours to ski out. Sunshine the entire time. And I planned a new story while I skied!

2. Enjoyed a great dinner with extended family to celebrate the wedding of our oldest nephew and his new wife. Wonderful meal, good conversation. Just thinking back to those early days in a relationship makes me teary eyed. They have so many adventures ahead of them and I wish them all the best.

3. I have a new toy to play with. My previous laptop started to freeze up on me. Very scary when I thought I might lose days of writing, or more. I have a new MacBook and there short cuts on the trackpad alone are worth the learning curve!
