Back when I started writing, I noticed authors hosting holiday giveaways, and I wanted to take part–but I wanted to do something a little different. The first year I posted The 12 Days Of Giving, I was living in an RV with my family as we traveled around North America, and it was a great way for me to give financially to a great charity that a reader suggested. I held the event for three holiday seasons in a row…
…and then I fell victim to the very thing I was trying to avoid. I got too busy with online time, working—life in general, maybe, but bottom-line: Too Busy.
I've made a commitment to adjust my priorities, and so we're traveling back to my roots. 😉 We're going to once again celebrate the 12 Days of Giving, and while I've made a few changes, for the most part, the focus is the same.
In the spirit of the holidays, I want to give something back. To you, my readers, but also to others.
Here’s the deal. Every day for the next 12 days, I’m going to challenge you to ‘give’. Not necessarily financially, because, yeah, I know that’s tough at times. But we really are fortunate to enjoy many good things. 2015 has been an amazing year for me, with challenges but also rewards. I want to finish it off right, and I encourage you to join me.
There will be a few gifts up for grabs along the way but the BIG gift is this: $100 donated to the charity of your choice. At the end of the 12 days time I’ll pick 10 commenters from this thread and their suggested organization will get $100. If you want to add a link to your organization in the comments, please feel free to do that.
In order to qualify for the $100 donation, you don’t have to meet the challenges for the 12 coming days– those are strictly for fun and encouragement, although I hope you do join in and share some love. To be entered, simply add your name to this comment list along with the name of the organization you'd like the money to go to if you are one of the ten selected. This isn't really a contest:
Basically consider this as me asking you for suggestions for great places to support.
This is an international opportunity- I don’t care where you live (if it’s legal for you to participate yada yada yada…) as long as I can somehow support the organization you suggest.
I hope you will join me in this celebration of giving.
And come back tomorrow for the first challenge.
(Fine fine print: this blog posts to Amazon and GoodReads. We'll be cross posting to FB as well, but you MUST have your name & charity on the actual post on my blog to be eligible for me to send to your charity of choice.)
Nowadays there is lot of unforeseen circumstance which force folk to take remedies. You can order medicines directly your office. In these latter days the stock you can find in online pharmacy is actually high. Some medications are as a rule used to treat many types of bacteria, such as tonsillitis and infections of the throat. Other ones are used to treat diabetes. Cialis is a remedy used to treat divers afflictions. What do you have to know about cialis order online? Presently many families search for the exact keyword ordering cialis online on the Internet. Perhaps you already read something about it. Having erectile dysfunction can beyond doubt complicate romance. What can cause erectile dysfunction? A row of psychological issues can produce erectile malfunction. What should you discuss with a physician before taking Cialis? Any curing may cause dangerous side effects. Sometimes side effects can be actually dangerous. Talk to your pharmacist about the proper disposal of your remedy.

Sullivan checking in!
I’d like to suggest ‘t Swieneparredies (pig paradise). They educate people about pigs and have lots of pigs at their farm. They’re collecting money to install Sun panels so they can reduce electricity cost and have more money to spend on the pigs in their care.
People are not the only ones in need…I also support Clowder House, a cat sanctuary that provides lifetime care for cats that owners are no longer able to care for. It is right around the corner from my house, and I like to walk by there andsee the kitties playing in the window.

I would donate to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital because what they do is so incredibly important. Think of how many children’s lives they save. They don’t turn anyone away regardless of their financial situation. They truly live up to what charity is about
UMOM. It’s a local domestic violence shelter (in the phx area). They work so hard to provide a safe haven for women and their children who must flee an unsafe situation with a lot of times, no more than the clothes on their backs.
The Cleft Palate Foundation http://www.cleftline.org helps parents find cleft teams close to home and expenses that go along with the surgeries. Also the Ronald McDonald House Charities helps keep parents close to their children that are in the hospital for various medical issues.
Defenders of Wildlife – they work with land owners to help find a balance between human needs and wildlife conservation among many other good works.

For women and children all around the world, in the places no one ever hears about.
(You are a wonderful soul, Ms Viv.)

Juvenile Diabetes Foundation
When your child is diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and faces a lifetime of insulin shots, you search for resources-JDF is such a place

Happy Holidays Vivian! 😀
I would choose St Judes for My Charity
Wounded Warriors
I would like to suggest the Shrines Hospital. They help children with or without insurance.
My vote is for your local Ronald McDonald House. That would house a family for a night and help them while their child is in treatments!
Loma Linda Children’s Hospital, there are many children suffering from so many kinds of cancer. It’s a very sad thing.
Toys for Tots https://g.co/kgs/UR3vt
This is a very good program to make sure all children have a good Christmas!
St. Judes Children’s hospital! It a cause very near and dear!
Animal Friends of Westmoreland County or Animal Rescue League

Giftapalooza is an organization that brings Christmas to children in need. So far they have helped 42 families with over $4,000 in donations but they can always use more.
Here is there link: https://www.facebook.com/events/146570629029670/
P.S. Vivian this is an amazing thing! I got my Street Team to join in the giving and it was awesome!
ALZ, My profile pic says it all Forget Notes for Alzheimer’s – I miss you Daddy.
I donate to a wonderful organization, Angels Among Us Pet Rescue out of Atlanta. They save pets that normal rescues won’t, sick, elderly, injured, abused. They do wonderful work. You can check them out on Facebook. I would love to be able to get them a donation. I have my Kroger loyalty card attached to it so tha when I shop a percentage goes to Angels
Olive Crest, it’s an agency that works with foster kids and families. I did my MS WORD practicum with them and they are amazing.
Prostate cancer foundation. I lost my husband to it this past May.
or Alzheimer’s research. I lost my Mom to that in 2008. Pulmonary Hypertension Association, I was diagnosed with it in 1998. They gave me 5 years. 17 years and counting! Never give up, never give in!
St.Jude’s Children Hospital in Memphis, TN. All the monies donated goes toward research and not to line someone’s pocket, the other organization I like to support is Ronad McDonald Houses. It must be terrible for your child to be in a hospital so far fro,, home and you can’t be with them. But thanks to Ronald House you can stay free of charge ! A wonderful charity ! THANKU you for having suc a kind and giving heart! I will be joining you these 12days. I am sure my contributions won’t match yours, but if everyone gave something wouldn’t it be wonderful!
I woukd suggest finding a family in need and buying them a Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. Or putting it on a grocery store gift card so they can buy what they can eat. I will private message you about this.
I suggest the page on Facebook called giftapalooza.
Prostate cancer foundation or Wounded Warrior. My husband was in the military. He spent a lot of time in the Middle East during Desert Storm, Desert Shield, Iraqi Freedom and a couple of others. Found out that he had prostate cancer 3 years after retirement. He was only 46. It has returned for the 3rd time and he is on the last treatment available.
My favorite organization is Mended Hearts (www.mendedhearts.org) that provides support to cardiac patients and their families. Cardiac disease is still the number 1 cause of death for both men and women. There are more deaths from heart disease than all cancers combined.
The Wounded Warrior Project and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital are two very worthwhile charities. Veterans sacrifice so much asking for nothing in return. St. Jude’s treats every child no matter their financial situation which is pretty amazing. You can’t go wrong supporting them in my humble opinion.
American Cancer Society for the good they do in helping and guiding people when they need help for love ones
Wounded Warriors or Operation Homefront
St judges or the childrens miracle network
