Cool new books- KITHRA by Dani Worth

Something heated and sci-fi-y. Just what my geeky heart loves. Throw in a HEA, and what could be better? New to Samhain author Dani Worth is heating up the pages with the first book of the Kithra Regenesis series.

A frustrated spaceship captain, her trusty second-in- command, and a handsome alien prove that three is definitely not a crowd.

The Kithran Regenesis, Book 1

Spaceship captain Lux Moyans is currently piloting missions for The Company. When her second-in-command, Kol Frega, informs her they’ve been ordered to Kithra, she’s furious. A year on an uninhabitable planet? She’ll only be flying supply missions! But her ship—Kol’s design—is the only one that can withstand the planet’s gases…and Lux is one of the few pilots with the skill to navigate the debris fields resulting from the explosions that killed most of the planet’s Gwinarian race.

Kol is the engineer who learned to manipulate the indestructible metal on Kithra, and he and a surviving Gwinarian will be her only company on planet. When they pick up Egan Lothbrun, Lux knows there will be trouble. She’s already attracted to Kol and she doesn’t need another man to arouse her either mentally or physically. Lux doesn’t want or need the complications that emotions bring. Yet, when she learns Kol and Egan share a painful past, she realizes getting Kithra livable won’t be her only challenge.

Keeping her heart intact might be harder.

Product Warnings
A cranky pilot, a sexy second-in-command and an irresistible alien join…forces in more ways than one. And yes, there are close encounters of the sexy kind. OMG, the excerpt at Samhain is lovely. Tension. hmmmmmm.

I am liking the sound of this book… I started out getting hooked on romance through Historicals… through the years I have branched out to the variety of genres and have been enjoying each one when the mood strikes.

I like to read several different romance genres. I began reading romance with contemporary romance and historicals. Thanks for the great giveaway.

Historical, paranormal, scifi, fantasy I like almost every kind of romance. Contemporary is the only one so far that can’t hold my attention.

Thanks for the heads up, Viv! I love all different genres now, but when I first started reading romance, I was a strictly contemporary kind of girl. Finally I picked up a historical (pretty much by accident), loved it, and then it was contemps and historicals. A couple years ago, under pressure from friends who read more widely, I picked up a paranormal, and that was it–I can’t resist anything now! It’s amazing what a wide world is out there–all kinds of worlds and characters and stories… Just not enough time! ;)

LOVE romance, in any genre– as long as it’s got an HEA, I’m of the good :-)

I read just about everything (except, actual history *shudder*). I love that romance has so many subcatagories. This book sounds interesting. The romance/sci-fi combo isn’t always easy to find! Thanks for the giveaway.

I’ve come to love romances in a variety of genres, thanks for the wonderful giveaway!

I love ALL types of romance genres. Contemporary, paranormal, erotic, BDSM etc. Lately I’ve been reading M/M romance books. They are completely different to what I usually read, but I have been enjoying them.

Thanks for the giveaway & I am anxiously waiting for Rocky Mountain Heat to be re-released. I loved the first version, so I know I will love this version just as much.

When I started reading romance, there weren’t so many choices (yes, I am older than dirt) and I started with my aunt’s True Story magazines. I soon graduated to Harlequin romances-they were formulaic but entertaining (186 pages-boy meets girl, girl hates boy, likes boy, then loves boy, overcome obstacles, they marry and live HEA). Now I read across most genres and love them all.

Nancy, I got my start writing stories for True Story. I used to sell a lot of romances to those magazine. ;)

I will read romance in just about in sub-genre. Actually I like to switch them up so I don’t get bored with any one category. I’ll read a contemp, then a historical, then urban fantasy or PNR, then I’ll start all over again. I’ve recently started reading fantasy romance also. I have to say, SciFi romance is about the only kind I don’t read, but I should try it.
